To celebrate the last day of our “22 Days Of Invention” series, we wanted to give something back to the Tumblrverse. So, we had our friends at Tattly print temporary tattoos of Thomas Edison’s lightbulb patent.

Hit us up with some fan mail if you want one. UPDATE: Thanks for the response! Alas, there are no more tattoos. The fine print says you must be 18 or over and a resident of the U.S. for us to send you one. Additionally, Tumblr didn’t endorse, administer or sponsor these tats, and only the GE social media team will receive participant information.

Man I feel really bad for the Tumblr Staff because I bet they aimed for Tumblr to be a cool, suavé, photographic place for artists but in reality it’s made up of hormonal teenagers who obsess over gay fictional characters, and can’t even handle the reblog button turning green to teal

IT IS MINT GREEN

The Full Moon of July will be a Super Moon. This is when the Moon can appear up to 5 times bigger than normal. It not only looks beautiful but has many effects on Earth too, the tidal force is up to 18% greater than normal and it also has an effect on animals and wildlife especially birds, wolves and ocean life.

A super moon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth.neat!

my major problem with Frozen is that it is a perfectly passable and average and safe Disney movie and people keep trying to prove that it is amazing and daring and challenging and in doing so keep churning out bombs of secondhand embarrassment like “look there’s some not-white people in the background, we’ve come so far since the 1950s” and “Anna isn’t your typical perfect Disney beauty, she has freckles and eyebrows that are .5% thicker than Rapunzel’s”

Frozen is about women’s empowerment. This would not have been even allowed to be made in the 50’s. And have you not seen The Princess and The Frog, Aladdin, Mulan, and Pocahontas? I don’t understand how someone doesn’t see how empowering this movie is to young girls. It shows them that they don’t need a love of a man to be fulfilled in life. That love comes in all shapes and types. Love is not exclusive to a romantic type of love. In the end she chose to save her sister over her lover. It may not be super challenging movie but it’s a children’s movie, it can’t be too complicated

I could go on about more things you have said but to sum up Frozen showed little girls that you can not rely on the love of some stranger and there isn’t going to always be a prince to rescue you. Yet there will always be your family or sibling there to save you when you are down, no matter what.

Thank you Frozen for making me realize how much i love and appreciate my sister.

Girls are trained to say, ‘I wrote this, but it’s probably really stupid.’ Well, no, you wouldn’t write a novel if you thought it was really stupid. Men are much more comfortable going, ‘I wrote this book because I have a unique perspective that the world needs to hear.’ Girls are taught from the age of seven that if you get a compliment, you don’t go, ‘Thank you’, you go, ‘No, you’re insane.’

I’m taking this advice. All girls should be proud of themselves and their achievements. Never minimize yourself
